ABOUT THE WEEKEND

During this three day weekend in the studio and open field, we will work as a group to explore improvisation as a practice, as a tool for performance, and as a practical way to process what is around you. As we explore our own inner worlds we will focus on our creative practice through mediums of movement, writing, collage making, experiencing sounds together, laying on the earth, and more.

This workshop is an effort to commune with others dedicated to expressing aliveness through an embodied movement practice. We encourage participants to attend or are committed to deep self inquiry, radical questioning, self forgiveness, and the process of an ever unfolding practice at the individual and community level.

Each day we will work to compose small dances

We will read

We will write

We will lay on the earth

We will talk to each other

We will rest

We will dance
