This is a brief introduction, through the Franklin Method, to proprioception. While a complex topic, we share a quick exercise for shoulder relaxation.
Tapping your cortices
Tapping out cortices is a core practice within the BodyTalk system. Through a protocol that takes just a few minutes, we are alerting the cortices of the brain to address missing communication — as well as alerting our other ‘brains’, the heart and gut. This is a great thing to try when feeling stressed, or when something requires focus; or simply each morning when you awake.
Below are a selection of meditations that are both helpful in cultivating your relationship with the Blueprint for health, and also information that is at the core of SourcePoint. You can find all the meditations by Donna Thomson on Soundcloud.
RESOURCES FROM OUR FELLOWS
This practice a tactile way of physically exercising an emotion and concept of thanks giving. They become a sacred object that acts as a navigation tool, by directing our appreciative attention to what we experience and have. By bringing our attention to what we care about, and acknowledging it, we are gifted in return with a feeling of well-being. Gratitude can be considered a pathway to joy; it is an antidote to despair and apathy. It does not erase or negate pain, but helps us see the good that coexists with suffering. What we pay attention to manifolds. If we attend to what we love through gratitude, it will grow.
