Before the mid-nineteenth century, plants and other natural sources were used across all cultures to color fiber. After the discovery of synthetic dyes, natural dyes were quickly replaced and an important part of civilization was forgotten. Besides being powerful color sources, natural dyes reveal many secrets. In this weekend, our goal will be to establish our own conclusions about how natural dyes can exist in the contemporary world and how we can use these ideas to explore our relationship with food, nature and modernity.
This is a weekend for investigation and celebration; coming together to honor and rediscover artist as healer and healer as artist. Over 48 hours, Succurro Fellows will take the lead sharing the work they have uncovered over the past year through their dedication to personal and collective health and wellbeing. As artists of many kinds, they bring forth opportunities to engage in critical questions, the resources of our hands and bodies, the connections between the material and non-material. The effects ripple out; together we enter the field of information that connects us through time and space.
Events and schedule will be revealed upon arrival; participants will be able to float freely as they see fit, following their own path within the structure. Meals will be shared together in support of creating a sustaining experience for all.

This weekend is meant for those who seek to learn about, or deepen an understanding of, astrology for self-inquiry. The group will do this through creative embodiment of the zodiacal archetypes, while grasping basic concepts of symbolic interpretation for personal daily practice. We aim to work from the perspective that the natal chart represents our seed potentiality; an unfolding process of Being, where we take responsibility for our experience.

In the studio and the open field we will work as a group to explore improvisation as a practice, as a tool for performance, and as a practical way to process what is around you. As we explore our own inner worlds we will focus on our creative practice through mediums of movement, writing, collage making, experiencing sounds together, laying on the earth, and more. This workshop is an effort to commune with others dedicated to expressing aliveness through an embodied movement practice.

Experience and receive the power of sound. Promoting rest and relaxation, this unique ‘Sound Bath’ restores energetic balance to mind, body and spirit. Jacob combines his mixed backgrounds as a musician and practitioner to guide this restorative meditation through musical improvisation. Using his voice, various instruments and recording live loops, amplified healing sounds fill the room. During the Sound Bath, participants lay down restoratively to receive; instruments are used throughout the room in addition to the live recorded loops, adding layers of dimension to the healing sounds.

We're celebrating the hard work it's taken to create a place to do the hard work. It's not easy facing demons and taking responsibility for our health, and that is what we do here! But discomfort is not without comfort, or pain without joy: the quest for collective health deserves CELEBRATION, and we can do that together.
Join us for food, drink, making friends, and of course learn a bit about what is planned to unfold here + how to get involved.
