We welcome long- and short-term residents seeking relational incubation and collaboration with the network of being and Spirit. Residents are immersed on the land, and spend time actively responding to what moves through them.

Applications for 2027 will be available in late 2026.

Short Term Residencies

  • Residency Overview

Please read all tabs before applying

Short-term residencies at Succurro are 10 days in length, and immersive on the land. One resident each month will stay in a simple, private raised-platform tent, use our shared outdoor kitchen and restroom facilities, and have access to flexible, a private studio space in the barn.

Residencies are offered during warm months of the year, from May through October, giving open time and space for allowing what comes through on this particular land to move. We welcome applications from anyone interested in such a relational, naturally collaborative exploration.

This is not solely an ‘artist’ residency, and we define ‘artist’ very broadly. It is simply a period of deepening a sense of reciprocal belonging to Earth and Spirit — whatever that may mean for you.

  • Residency Dates

There are six residency spots available for 2026, beginning in May and ending in October. In your application you will be asked to select from a list of dates you are available for, which will help us in the selection process.

    The 2026 Residency options are:

    May 18-27 *

    June 8-17

    July 6-15

    August 10-19

    Sept 14-23

    Sept 28-Oct 7 *

    * These dates are beautiful and liminal and tend to be on the cooler side in the evenings/at night, as we are in the mountains - Spring is late, Fall is early :)

  • Residency Facilities

This Residency is for those seeking simplicity and direct relationship with mystery. Our facilities are rustic, and everything here is rather ‘diy’. As a cooperative, we do our best to accommodate as wide a range of abilities as possible.

The tents are a 5-7 minute walk uphill. There are a few steps to reach the porch, that overlooks the valley with a chair to relax in. The bed is a queen sized bed, and linens are provided. There is a small desk in the tent, along with a small dresser, set of shelves, and hooks on the wall.

The outdoor showers are halfway down the hill toward the kitchen, nestled into the hawthorns. They are not heated, but lovely for use during the height of a sunny day. There are two composting toilets; one by the tents, and one by the kitchen.

The outdoor kitchen/dining area is large and communally used with other tent guests. There are BBQs, fridges, and enclosed food storage. Plates, mugs, silverware are all provided. Residents are responsible for their food and cooking it.

Residents have access to a some equipment, if these are items that are useful to your process. See the Amenities tab for more information.

  • Residency Amenities

Residents have access to a short list of equipment, that can moved into their studio space. The studio is located in our large barn, and is a clean space with 3 windows, lockable door, electricity, and pin wall.

Residents also have access to lower cost healing sessions (typically SourcePoint Therapy), if they’d like any support in communicating with the land and what is coming up and through for them during their time. This is optional and up to the resident.

    Equipment Available:

    - looms (4 harness, 8 harness, 24-36”)

    - basic weaving tools (warping board, threading, bobbin winder, shuttles, etc)

    - home sewing machine

    - drop spindles

    - saw horses and table tops

    - iron / ironing board

    - easel

    - empty glass jars

    - table top printing press (11×17 bed)

    - massage tables

There may be other things available, such as basic tools. We will work this out with each accepted resident.

  • Residency Exchange & Expectations

These residencies do not have a monetary exchange; however residents are responsible for all materials, travel, and food. We also ask that residents take part in some way during their stay in a task that helps us with stewardship of this land. This will vary by resident, their interests and abilities, and would usually be for between 5-10 hours during a 10 day stay.

Long Term Residencies

Long term residencies occur by invitation, to those who have been in relationship with this land. Residencies have lasted anywhere between three weeks, to a full year. Each resident is a part of our network, and contributes to life at Succurro while here, and through leaving behind a work of some kind for ongoing interaction.

Current Resident

Auguste Garufi will be in residence at Succurro from May 2026 - May 2027, as a second installment to an ongoing residency exploring the making of a kilometre-long handwoven cloth.
