Collaborative

The Succurro Collaborative is a group of artists and SourcePoint practitioners working to support, share, research, and exhibit together. Each artist involved demonstrates commitment to creative practice that integrates their study, understanding, and use of the principles within SourcePoint Therapy.

Commitment to SourcePoint Therapy allows the group a shared context for ritual practice, discussion, and spiritual understanding of working with the more-than-human world, even though each participant may be coming from different cultural heritage and background. This non-dogmatic and crosscultural approach strengthens the connections we share across differences in language, cultural assumptions and expectations, thinking, and perceiving.

Since its inception, the Succurro Collaborative has gathered virtually on a monthly basis to practice, connect, share, and support the goals and ideas of the group members. The group also gathers for Residencies at Succurro at different times of the year to create work on the land at Succurro and carry out public programs. SourcePoint Therapy, in combination with art-making, is the ground for connecting with the inherent network of being, and the animacy of place, material, and object. Together, this informs the way the group approaches interspecies relationship and systems regeneration through individual art practices and public eco-social engagement. Each artist intends to align with the greater animate forces, seen and unseen, that sustain life through their art-making and to engage the public in connecting with the network of being so that we each person may take practical action toward addressing climate collapse.
