Farm at Succurro
Succurro is a collaborative, experimental creative project. Since 2017, the people living on the land have slowly learned to cultivate food and steward this land from the perspective of deeply nourishing our home, visitors and those who want to buy our products, and reflect a healthy relationships with animals, plants, team members, community and customers. Our focus is first and foremost on aligning with the natural patterns and cycles of our ecosystem, and putting the needs of the animate forces first - as this in turn will nourish us.
This Summer, you’ll be able to find us at several farmers markets (see below), via local food partners, as well as visit Succurro to purchase directly. We are also offering pork and goat shares, half or whole animal.
Whole & Half Animal Shares
For 2024 we will be offering whole and half shares of pork and goat, in addition to retail cuts during the Summer months. Purchasing a whole or half share, either for your family or friends or multiple families, is an affordable way to purchase protein that also helps support our farm endeavors. When you purchase a whole or half share, you are guaranteeing a certain amount of income for us in advance, so that we can raise happy and healthy pigs and goats throughout the summer! If you have the freezer space, you might consider it for your family.
A whole pig typically comes to about 175-200lbs of meat, butchered into various cuts that you’d be familiar with at your grocery store. Additionally, we also provide you with delicious bacon and sausage. We will raise these pigs from June-November, and provide you the meat in late November/early December.
A whole goat typically comes to about 20lbs of meat. Beacuse the goats are so small, we do not butcher them into specific cuts. You would receive either a whole animal, or half the animal - split left/right. We will raise these goats from April-December, and provide you the meat in December.
When you purchase a whole or half animal, we cannot guarantee an exact number of pounds before we raise the animal, but we can give a close estimate. We will send you an invoice for a deposit, and then provide you with the balance after we handoff the meat to you.
Once the meat is ready, we will provide you with an address for pick up. Delivery within NY State may be an option for an additional fee. We will check with you about delivery/pick up closer to the processing dates.
